Butterfly Swallow Tail Box Votive by Mottahedeh

When The Fragrance Is A Memory, The Vessel Is A Treasure.

Exotic butterflies of Costa Rica decorate four vibrantly colored round porcelain boxes and a large leaf dish. The butterflies are known worldwide to collectors who follow their migration between Central America and the United States. The beautiful and delicate painting correctly represents each butterfly. One unique butterfly type is featured on each box and, in keeping with Mottahedeh tradition, is described on the backstamp.

Swallowtail-Range: Costa Rica flying north to Southern United States and south to Argentina. This butterfly flourishes from sea level to 800 feet along the Pacific coast and in deciduous forests.
